Electric Sheep explores a world were Cyborgs and Androids go hand in hand. Cyborgs being humans whose physical abilities are extended by mechanical aids and Androids being machines made to look like humans.
Taking inspiration from Blade Runner and The Matrix, it seeks what being human means.

Cyborgs and Androids go hand in hand, one trying to be more like the other. If identities are sacrificed, are we losing authenticity and therefore suppressing our humanity? Or are the efforts of becoming more alike infused with authenticity, making humanity unavoidable?

Chapter I was made in collaboration with Maria Carlos Baptista for the designer’s MÁTRIA SS22. The collection was shown at Paris Fashion Week in Galerie Joseph and at Porto Fashion Week in Alfândega do Porto.
